    Hi guys

I want to buy a LED strip for my TV (raspberry pi 3 with libreelec and kodi)

    What about this: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/hYjPTUd

Can I use it via USB without the GPIO Pins? Does it work?

    Best regards

Just wondering why you wouldnt want to use the gpio pins ?
I have 222 IP65 WS2812B's the exact ones TPModding has recommended round my screen I was using a arduino uno then a nano previously with them, but it is so much cleaner using the WS281x driver and the gpio pin imo

I also added a IR receiver on another gpio so I can turn the leds on or off or shutdown the pi with the tv remote control. I also have the psu connected to a sonoff basic so Alexa can turn that on and off.as well.

i want to try this, because i want to have a option to change the rpi with a nvida shield or an other device without gpio pins.
    or is there a other/better option ?
