SOLVED Falsche Anordnung nanoleaf

    Hallo zusammen.
    Ich habe mir ein paar Canvas bestellt und wollte diese zum Teil für Ambilight nutzen.
    Leider ist die Darstellung irgend wie falsch...
    Ich habe es sowohl mit "Klassisches Layout (Rahmen)" als auch mit
    "Matrix Layout (LED Wand)" versucht.
    Bei beiden sind Farben vertauscht.
    Ich habe mal ein paar Screenshots von dem Matrix Layout eingefügt.

    Bevor jemand fragt:
    Die Panels sind genau so angeordnet wie in der Config.
    Unten links das erste und dann in Schlangenform vebunden. :)

    Einspeisepunkt meint hier nicht den Nanoleaf-Controller, sondern die erste Nummer der Panels.

    Danke für die Antwort, werde ich später gleich mal testen :)
    Aber was ist denn dann die erste Nummer?
    Wie soll man die festlegen?!

    Weiterhin war der Test mit klassischen Layout auch falsch.
    Dort habe ich jede LED als erste angegeben. :-(

    Ich habe nun schon viele Varianten durch und keine brachte den erwünschten Effekt. :-(
    Hin und wieder springen die nanoleaf auch einfach auf irgendwelche Szenen.
    Ich weiß nicht, ob hyperion falsche Befehle sendet oder einfach "stirbt"...

    Kannst Du bitte mal mehr Infos zu Deinem installierten hyperion System teilen?

    -> In the web interface of the Hyperion config go to System > About Hyperion and Paste the content of "System info (Github Issue)" here

    plus, welche Firmware hat Dein Canvas?
    Am besten schalte in hyperion den Debug-Mode ein und poste die Loglines hier, nachdem Du es neu gestartest hast.

    Zusatzfrage: Könntest Du ein hyperion-ng selbst kompilieren? Dann würde ich Dir sagen, was Du anpassen musst, um mehr Information zur Fehlersuche zu erhalten.

    Bist Du sicher, dass nicht noch ein anderes Programm (ggf. auch zweites hyperion oder zweite Instanz) Befehle an Dein nanoleaf schicken?
    Ich hatte schon mal den Fall, dass ich auf meinem rpi und auf einem anderen Rechner hyperion mit nanoleaf laufen hatten.
    Dann kommt es zu "komischen" Effekten, da bei Nanoleaf aktualisieren.

    Als Hintergrund... das liegt daran, dass ich die Canvas Squares von oben nach unten und von rechts nach links sortiere und entsprechend durchnummeriere.
    Die Position der einzelnen Panels liefert der Nanoleaf Controller.

    Nun passt es mit Matrix.
    Aber welche ist nun die erste LED, wenn ich Klassisches Layout baue?
    Ist es auch möglich nur einen Teil der Canvas als Ambilight zu nutzen / anzusteuern?
    Ziel ist es auf jeder Seite des Fernsehers einen Controller mit (aktuell) 20 Canvas anzubringen.
    Ca. 5-6 pro Seite befinden sich unmittelbar neben dem Fernseher und sollen Ambilight machen.
    Der Rest soll in der Zeit dunkel bleiben.

    Und wie schalte ich Hyperion aus und wieder an?
    Nur durch abschalten den Pi?
    Der bleibt bei mir in der Regel immer an.
    Ich möchte ja auch in der Lage sein zu wechseln.

    Die erste LED ist immer die ganz oben links ist (bei richtiger Ausrichtung des Controllers).
    Die LEDs bei Nanoleaf werden aktuell immer von links nach rechts und oben nach unten durchnummeriert.

    Ja, aber nur den Teil von LED Nr. 0 bis zu Nr. n (mit n <= Panelanzahl)
    Du kannst im Led Layout einfach weniger LEDs angeben. Die restlichen LEDs werden dann "schwarz" gesetzt.
    Aktuell gibt es keine Möglichkeit die Panels frei auszuwählen. Dafür müsse eine Change/Feature Request auf GitHub erstellt werden.

    Du kannst hyperion über das UI ausschalten (Dashboard), per hyperion-remote oder per API call.
    Die LedDevices kannst Du einzeln auch über das UI ausschalten (Remote Control/Fernsteuerung), per hyperion-remote oder per API call.

    I have my canvases set up on my wall in a 7x8 square behind my TV, I chose the matrix layout and the start point is top left and parallel is selected, I can get hyperion to work on them but only the top half if I run the effect knight rider only the middle to the top canvases work. I have a feeling its because of where my controllers are but I m not sure where to move them.

    @jes1417 Would you mind sharing additional information which might help in resolving your issue?

    1.
    Does the situation also occur when using the nanoleaf app and setting a solid color on all panels?
    If yes, you have a controller issue, if not, I cannot follow why it should be then an issue in the hyperion scenario.

    2. Did you restart hyperion.ng? Does the issue still occur after restart?
    3. Could you please share on which hyperion.ng version you are running.
    WebUI - > System -> about Hyperion
    4. Could you enable Debug logging and share the log-output
    5. You might want to test an effect that make use of all configured panels, e.g. "Led test".
    Do you see the same behavior?

    I. did try this and when I reboot I can no longer control the nanoleafs, They work in the nanoleaf app and with the Arora Chrom app but I cant get hyperion to gain control again.

    Ok. I assume that after you used the Nanoleaf App you expect that Hyperion will continue streaming...
    That will not happen, as you switched the context for Nanoleaf.
    To give control back to hyperion, go to the „Remote Control” in Hyperion’s UI and disable the LedDevice and enable it again.
    If the LedDevice is green, your Nanoleafs should be able to be updated. Just run the Led Test effect.

    Note: You have 51 Panels. If you define a 7x7 matrix = 49 LEDs, the last two will always stay black. This is intended.

    In case it still does not work, share another round of log output, please.
    And you may outline the problem you face again.

    So i think i worked out, 7x8 was too many panels I have one missing in the middle and it meesed it up. If I want to use the classic layout what do I put in the top bottom left right i have 52 panels

    I am sorry, but your outline does not line up with the log-File...
    Looks like you have 51 Panels (not 52) and per log you configured 7x7 and not 7x8.
    With a 7x8 configuration you would have not even been able to get the device enabled and the log would have indicated a clear error that you have a not supported configuration.

    I. think I have it figured out on the layout after reading some other posts. My canvases are working well but I am having an issue with the aurora, they are not talking it seems debugs seem like it's good but nothing is changing on lights. Also if I turn on USB device shortly after a it will be off again here are the logs after a reboot.
