Thanks. Good to know for the next time.

I went back to alpha 6 meanwhile. I tried to restore my saved config from alpha 7 but that wasn't working even though it was done without error message.

Then I reconfigured everything and made it working also with platform recording.

So it´s working for now and my lesson´s learned for today were "Never touch a running system and always have a complete image of the SD card".

Is there a new release in sight (knowing that there are so many problems with alpha 7) or other question is it possible to install all latest fixes in an easy way starting with alpha 6.

I don't think there will be a new release this month. Next month for sure.

I refer you to this post (sadly only in German): https://hyperion-project.org/thread...ffiziell-unofficially.10463/page-4#post-26840

Danke.

Big thanks to horschte from kodinerds

Bei den Pull Request Versionen, werden die Änderungen immer weiter mit übernommen?
    Zb.
    Pull Request 917
    Dann kommt Pull Request 918

Thanks at Paulchen-Panther - it works for me.
At least with Alpha6 - Alpha7 constantly restarts after the LED configuration.

    @Paulchen-Panther hi,

is it possible to run hyperion without running kodi on libreeelec?

i quit kodi, then hyperion doesnt work anymore.

since i have hdmi capture, i dont need kodi anymore, and raspbian and/or hyperbian is just too big system, also very long boot. so i dont wanna use that, since libreelec is like ~200mb with hyperion installed, raspbian is 2.5gb. (its not really about the storage, but the speed)

so if there is a way to quit kodi but keep hyperion working still, pls let me know how.

(also, i made a script to be able to controll everything via Google (home) Asisistant, if anyone is intereseted, where should i post it? very easy only one file)

ah, i was afraid of an answer like this, this is why i mentioned hyperbian too ;)
ofc i was talking about raspbian lite.
and that is also 2+ gb and "very" slow on boot, copared to libreelec.

so id like to have libreelek with a possibility to quit kodi.

also when i install the deb file on raspbian, webinterface wont start, but thats a different story, id rather stay with this super light anfd very fast system, libreelec (without kodi running :) )

    i did with both.

    also about my first question.

i think its hyperion question, bc when i quit kodi on libreelec (systemctl stop kodi), hyperion wont work anymore, so i think its a good place to ask about it;)

(my only working setup is Libreelec + hyperion alpha6, so i will stick with it till forever;) i just dont need kodi to eat cpu% all the time)

    solution:
systemctl stop kodi && systemctl stop hyperion && systemctl start hyperion

(now i just need to know where is a script/file that can issue this command during boot, or what file loads kodi in the first place, to prevent it to load:) )

im not sure what you wanna show with the video above, other than how to stop start kodi, but thx anyway.

So, i tried to boot to "textmode" as you said, your right, kodi wont start but also hyperion wont start so i have to start manually

    systemctl start hyperion

so, if there is a script that starts this on boot, and i can add it to it, thats ok for me,

or the other way what i just wrote above, it boots to kodi and i have to manually stop kodi and restart hyperion like this

systemctl stop kodi && systemctl stop hyperion && systemctl start hyperion

The video shows that Hyperion is still working when kodi is stopped. You wrote:

    Code:
    systemctl mask kodi
    works.
