I'm using a Raspberry Pi 2 with an image from this thread. Here's my configuration file. I'm using WS2812B-type LEDs.

The problem is that it works fine grabbing frames from an HDMI input for ~4 minutes, but then suddenly all the LEDs stop responding to the image and turn off except the left side. The Raspberry Pi is connected to the data pin on the strip at the bottom of the left side.

Any ideas on what could be happening?

Here you go. It worked for a few minutes, then suddenly stopped as before.

Note: after it stopped, I restarted hyperion with
    Code:
    sudo systemctl restart hyperion.service
. After restarting, it still only displayed colors on the left side - so the problem seems to go deeper than hyperion itself. (I know it restarted correctly because the left side displayed the rainbow swirl starting effect.)

Maybe loose contacts between the stripes? Have had this too and showed the weirdest results.

I don't think that's the problem (although my soldering job is nothing to be proud of). If immediately after most the LEDs stop working I power cycle the Pi, everything works fine again for another ~4 minutes.

Never mind; it looks like it was the connection. I re-melted the solder and now everything works! Thanks for the help.
