RPi + Other Software power supply question

    yes it does> the main switch doesn't turn on the power, normally when the PSU is in the board the board (UEFI) gives a signal to the PSU and then only it turns on


    you can rewire that easy with 2 pin connectors switched together, mostly on the ATX connector its a green and black wire (GND) right to eachother. Shortcut those and the PSU will power up.

    Thanks Jeroen
    Thats put the cat amongst the pigeons
    Will have to rethink this as I prefer to have the AC cable protected and as a pc psu uses a kettle cable that plugs in sounds a lot safer
    The only problem I have now is choosing the wattage as they only give you the wattage of the 12v rail?
